2025-2026 Chapter Highlights

In November, the Sigma Sigma Chapter attended the 34th MAAC District Conference hosted by the Omicron Omicron Chapter at the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C. Chapter President Baron Arday was named 2025-2026 Brother of the Year among 17 Collegiate Chapters. Bro. Arday represented the Chapter in the Scholars Bowl and Oratorical competitions as well.

In April, Bro. Arday represented the Chapter as Delegate to the 94th Eastern Regional Convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey. For the second consecutive year, Sigma Sigma was named the Collegiate Chapter with the Highest GPA at 3.76 among nearly 100 College Chapters that comprise the Eastern Region.

In May, The Johns Hopkins University Office of Leadership Engagement & Experiential Development hosted its annual Leadership Awards, where the Chapter earned three awards from the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life: Excellence in Campus Engagement, Excellence in Community Service, and Excellence in Educational Programming. Bro. Baron Arday was named Organization President of the Year for his proven efforts in increasing and improving Chapter visibility, member strength, external partnership management, and quality community-facing programs that center the Mission of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Bro. Steven King, a Spring 1987 initiate of the Delta Zeta Chapter seated at Syracuse University, was named Advisor of the Year for his tireless advocacy, mentorship, and guidance to generations of Sigma Sigma Brothers over more than 3 decades.
